Intelligent  and  Motivated  People  Actively  Changing  the  Times

About Us

If we’re going to out-innovate and out-educate the rest of the world, we’ve got to open doors for everyone. We need all hands on deck, and that means clearing hurdles for women and girls as they navigate careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.”

-First Lady Michelle Obama, September 26, 2011

Real I.M.P.A.C.T Center, Inc.'s mission is to provide the youth with support in academics and prevention services in order to develop Intelligent and Motivated People to Actively Change the Times through a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and literacy focus. We have identified the REAL issue of poor academics and low interest in the science and math fields among girls, and we would like to offer a REAL solution by providing STEM workshops/camps during school breaks, and make a Real IMPACT in the lives of our youth and community today.

We are doing our part to help inspire youth girls to excel in life through exposure to STEM. We thrive to encourage girls to explore STEM careers. Our goal is to increase the number of girls/women pursuing a STEM lifestyle and create a network that help women in STEM thrive with confidence. We’ve incorporated fitness to prevent childhood obesity, and we are also exploring STEM and anti-bullying to tear down the walls of destruction in the minds of our girls who dream of a unique future in STEM.

Real I.M.P.A.C.T aims to increase community involvement by collaborating with other organizations in order to maximize our impact on our current efforts to assist the youth in Central Georgia. We are contributing towards the readiness of elementary and middle school girls ages 8-14 who are preparing for further education in area high schools and beyond.

Currently, women represent only 24% of the STEM workforce in the United States. However, women working within STEM earn 33% more than those in non-
STEM occupations and experience a smaller wage gap relative to men. We’re providing programs that will give girls a good grasp of STEM, what it involves, and available careers. Our goal is to increase the percentage of girls actively pursuing a future in a STEM-related field. In order to maintain our mission and provide a continuous flow of extracurricular STEM-based activities, our organization is reaching out to the community to gain assistance.
